What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Double Click on the downloaded .exe

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I would expect the program to install or load or something along those
lines.
I get an error message saying "See the logfile
C:\Users\Alex\AppData\Local\Temp\ckz_CNSF\namebench.exe.log"

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

I'm trying to use namebench-1.0.exe on Windows 7 64bit

Please provide any additional information below.

Do you mind trying with namebench-1.0.3.exe? It's on
http://code.google.com/p/namebench/downloads/list

I've not been able to replicate this issue -- so I am hoping for some testing
feedback here. I've posted 1.0.4.1, which should alter the behaviour when
dnspython
is unable to read the DNS servers from the registry. Can you give this a try?

@infoalgeriaeduc: Thanks for the update. I've posted a build that should fix
this issue:

http://namebench.googlecode.com/files/namebench-1.0.4.2-test.exe

Do you mind testing to see if this build works for you?
