Physical Alt-Space is to launch the start menu like launcher of any DE - aka Spotlight like activity (Cmd-Space). However the Alt-Space combo itself (virtual remap) I do not believe is bound to anything because only the physical Alt-Space combo ought to map to Ctrl-Space when or if you try to rebind inside of any particular app.

I am not aware of macOS using their Alt-Space or Ctrl-Space keys for anything off the top of my head.

So what I am saying is this. Physical Alt-Space (Windows keyboard) = Cmd(Ctrl)-Space Win-Space (Windows keyboard) = Alt-Space Ctrl-Space (Windows keyboard) = Win-Space

If you want to use Alt-Space then it ought to be as simple as using the 2nd rock from the space bar - aka Win/Super key on a Windows keyboard.. or the actual Alt key on the Apple keyboard.

@rbreaves I test physical Alt+Space in system shortcuts setting, turns out it map to Alt+F1. So, by setting ibus shortcut to Alt + F1, I can change input method now. It's weird but works for me.
