I checked this app at viruses at VirusTotal and result was strange for open sources app.

BeeRef-0.2.0-linux - 1 security vendor flagged this file as malicious BeeRef-0.2.0-windows.exe - 6 security vendors flagged this file as malicious Source code (tar.gz) - No security vendors flagged this file as malicious

Any ideas are welcome...

When I tested app virus was there. But it's good news. Windows version has 5 suspicious files. :(

In general all antivirus have false positives and .exe files tend to have more than others. In another project they talk about them: https://github.com/t3knomanzer/maxmix-software/issues/213

In particular, the windows build of beeref is built with pyinstaller, which is known to produce false positives in some antivirus software, see pyinstaller's issue tracker

Considering the amount of "false positives" (i just checked latest version) perhaps make a Portable Version that does not require Installation., I mean, since it is being claimed it is the installer causing the positives. Best wishes
