In some variants of Finding Friends, if you possess the ace of clubs, instead of requesting "The first/second ace of clubs", you request "The other ace of clubs"
I noticed that feature, but it has two main differences:
By saying "The other ace of clubs", you communicate to the table you hold the other copy. (In fact, in a three-deck game, the distinction would be made with "The first ace of clubs"/"The first outside ace of clubs"/"The only outside ace of clubs." I've played too rarely with 9+ players to know what happens with 4+ decks.)
In a game with multiple friends, this to my understanding would also prevent other players from joining multiple times. That is, the option would be more akin to "Landlord cannot self-join, but other players can join the defending team multiple times."
