Task continues when macbook is closed

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start a task
2. Put the computer to sleep
3. Awake from sleep

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I would expect to see the idle dialog, but instead it seems like the task
was still running all this time

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?  Intel
or PPC computer?
1.2.1 on Intel

Please provide any additional information below.
Putting it to sleep by closing my macbook
