Not sure what is happening. You could try to open regedit.exe and remove all settings below HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Workrave.
When you say to remove them do you mean to delete all these folders? or the items inside them?
The easiest way is renaming folder 'Workrave' to something like 'WorkraveOld' and check if that fixes the issue.
Hmmm... interestingly that fixes it, but if I modify it at all it breaks again.
I have Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.22621.2428], Workrave 10.50.0.
The operation mode is "Normal".
I have custom times for the breaks. On the last screen the block mode is "No blocking" (first option in the menu).
I also have the state windows enabled:
As for me, the break window is almost always being shown correctly (on the top of all other windows).
But sometimes it's not shown. How I understand it is I see that suddenly my keyboard input is being ignored by the active window I'm in (because the focus is captured by WorkRave).
The only thing that helps is pressing Win + L to block the session and re-login again. Then the WorkRave window is seen on the very top and active.
I also tried re-installing, it didn't help either. Please fix.
The problem persists on Workrave 1.10.52.
I recently upgraded to a laptop with Windows 11 pro. Workrave worked fine on my old Windows 10 laptop.
My new laptop has the mini box always counting down, but I never get the break or mini-break pop-ups anymore. I've done a ton of googling to see if there's anything within Windows 11 that block pop-ups from installed programs but I cannot find anything.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled workrave 2 or 3 times now.
