Hi rolling-robot,
The functionality to parse CMDOWS files in RCE was developed as a plugin for a specific project and was not published as part of the open source project for internal reasons. Unfortunately, due to the current international situation and since your profile indicates that you are located in Russia, we cannot offer you any further options on this subject. For more information, please refer to DLR's statement on this issue: DLR ceases bilateral cooperation with Russia - DLR Portal
Best regards.
Hi, rcenvironment-dlr. This answer is really disappointing to me, because asking this question I was aiming to support the project and perhaps becoming a member of the community. I neither represent any governmental institution, nor develop any warfare and strongly against this invasion, yet I cannot do anything against it. Fuck this war that disintegrates people and communities.
Hi, Is this plugin to parse CMDOWS files still closed-source? I am interested in using RCE within the AGILE framework, so it would be a shame if this is still unavailable. With kind regards,
Hi wrutten,
The CMDOWS plugin is still not public. Since the plugin was developed only as part of the AGILE project, it was not further developed beyond the end of the project. Therefore, the plugin is unfortunately no longer compatible with current versions of RCE. However, we strongly recommend not using RCE versions below 10.5.0. Please also refer to https://rcenvironment.de/pages/updatessecurity.html. Unfortunately, there are currently no plans to further develop the plugin as it is not addressed in any of our current projects.
Sorry that we cannot help you with your request.
Best regards.
Hi,
Thanks for your message, unfortunate to hear. I have managed to execute the CMDOWS workflows with openMDAO via the openLEGO package, so fortunately it is not too big a problem for me.
Best regards.
Many recent papers claim RCE's capability to parse CMDOWS file into an executable workflow, e.g. https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s13272-018-0307-2. I also have found that this was actually done according to bugtracker https://mantis.sc.dlr.de/view.php?id=15191 and changlog on mantis.cs.dlr.de. However I couldn't find a way to do this in latest RCE. Is this functionality closed for public use in RCE or there is some non-obvious way to do this?
