Request for Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS) and Smokeview (SMV) #1226

Hi, Is it possible to add FDS and SMV to the Sharc or Bessemer, please? I need to calculate the velocity field on Wildfire for my following research on the spreading mechanism. And it will take me quite a long time to do it on my personal PC.

FDS is now available on Bessemer under the following module:

FDS/6.7.5-intel-2020a

Please give this a test and report back on whether it is working for you.

Hi,

I am also using FDS for my PhD research on combustion. May I ask if the FDS module was removed from the HPC? I couldn't find it on the Sheffield HPC documentation page.

As this module was not fully tested / checked for functionality it is currently undocumented. It should still be available on Bessemer though.
