Cant experience your problem, find attached last maxduino 1.52 with lcd changes in userconfig.h.
Need also IDE version (mine is 1.8.4) and compiling result, mine:
El Sketch usa 29076 bytes (94%) del espacio de almacenamiento de programa. El máximo es 30720 bytes. Las variables Globales usan 1792 bytes (87%) de la memoria dinámica, dejando 256 bytes para las variables locales. El máximo es 2048 bytes. Poca memoria disponible, se pueden producir problemas de estabilidad.
