Refactor Synergy Extrapolation #115

We should discuss refactoring Synergy Extrapolation. At this point, SynX passes tests, thus the refactoring can be done more easily, assuming the refactored code passes the exact same tests.

Initial issues list:

Functions too long
Doesn't follow MATLAB Style Guidelines
Current logic could be simplified to improve ease of understanding from collaborators
