api.postcodes.io seems to have several postcodes missing. https://findthatpostcode.uk/ have a good api that is free and returns more detail on a given postcode, and is maintained by MySociety. It would be a small refactor to swap services.

while implementing this we should also address error handling for failed postcode/LSOA/IMD lookup.
