The use of 'persistent identifier' in all XXXXXXidentifier properties is too narrow (e.g. manufacturerIdentifier). This field can equally be used for common terminologies which are well established identifiers and has in fact been demonstrated in the White Paper. Restricting it's use to persistent identifiers could limit the use of the schema in different disciplines where other types of identifiers are established. The use of common terminologies provides definitions and underpins machine-to-machine communications. The suggestion that all identifiers are persistent is dangerous.
I suggest updating these definitions to 'Unique identifier.......' or something similar.
