I am confused by the polling flag on the LDES client:
-f → this is good: it indicates that it will automatically apply algorithms, figuring out on its own how to stay in sync. This means to me that it will decide on its own when to poll as needed.
--ordered → also good: this indicates that the client algorithm expects the events to be written in a specific order, and the client algorithm will have to work differently for that.
--polling → I don't understand this. Based on the timestampPath and the relationships working based on that timestampPath, and considering the caching headers, you should be able to automatically determine which pages to poll. Turning off polling by default when following the stream seems wrong to me.
--polInterval → this is currently good, but our goal should be to set it automatically in the long term.
