How about emailed alerts of predefined events, warnings, errors info etc...

I thought this may help with one of the items on the issue tracking list. I'm 
not familiar with LISP at all, but if 
you're not oppsed to using some C# or .Net we could possibly piggy back on some 
other folks work for the event 
log viewer.
