Dear Customer,

This is an URGENT notification as the HTTP activity that is accessing your Cloudant account will stop working on March 1, 2018. Only HTTPS will be allowed.

In July 2017, the IBM Cloudant team announced a number of security-related changes (https://developer.ibm.com/dwblog/2017/cloudant-sign-ups-replication-security) coming to the service.

Cloudant will cease supporting HTTP connections and continue support for HTTPS connections only beginning March 01, 2018. According to our logs your account has shown access via HTTP. Please update your applications accordingly to ensure there are no outages through the API. If you have active replications using HTTP, you will need to recreate replications using HTTPS URLs in the _replicator database. Rather than changing the existing replication document, delete it and upload a new one with the updated URLs.

Reminder also that the Cloudant Shared plan will be retired completely on March 31, 2018 as notified at the end of November 2017 (https://cloudant.com/shared-plan-retirement/). If you are using the Cloudant Shared plan, please migrate to Cloudant on the IBM Cloud immediately as your account will be disabled and data deleted when Cloudant Shared plan is retired.

Please email support@cloudant.com if you have any questions on the account(s) or activities in question.

Regards, The IBM Cloudant Team
