I think meant "your mingw is kinda old bro, use a newer one?' ??? or gcc is old? or it was compiled with weakrefs enabled? https://github.com/msys2/MINGW-packages/issues/1580

and yet with newer ubuntu I don't run into this problem with the packaged mingw-gcc so...uh...
