I just updated to flash player 11.8.xx and now with default settings it crashes it. help !!!

ROBERT-MCDOWELL commented 11 years ago

well, finally it's not a flash update probleme, but apparently some settings that flash didn't like, I guess like stretch settings. thanks

rdp commented 11 years ago

which settings failed, which ones worked?

ROBERT-MCDOWELL commented 11 years ago

Hi Roger,

thanks for your answer. I put 0 on all settings unless width, height and max fps to make it work I have to figure out which setting is really causing trouble.

thanks

Ok I reproduced it with these settings: width: 1920 height:1200 x:0 y:0 max fps:5 stretch width:1920 stretch height: 1200 stretch mode high quality: 1 hwrd to track: 1 disable aero: 1 track new x y: 0 desired debug: 1 millis to sleep: 250 capture transparent: 1

system OS and browser: widnows XP sp3, firefox, seamonkey, opera, IE, Safari, Chrome

I know these settings make no sense, it was my mistake but I think it shouldn't crash flash. also I'm confused of some of these settings, leaving it blank stop all settings but doesn't update to default since it continues to crash flash even if I leave the setting blank is there any definiation of every setting ?

I tried to change the settings step by step, if I set disable aero it works. seems that this setting must be shown on Mac system only....

Those seem to look ok...hmm...

I confirm that if I set disable aero to 1 it crashes Flash. so I put 0 everywhere and it works again. Despite of that I'm impressed of the stability and cpu activity less

ROBERT-MCDOWELL commented 10 years ago

Hi Roger,

did you reproduce the crash ?

rdp commented 10 years ago

could you try the latest?
