Difficult to use on high DPI

I have a 4K laptop and the capture app UI is too small to use. Also, when capturing the entire window, the computer slows down significantly.

what fps capture? what OS? Are you encoding while you capture?

I'm using the command line that's shown on the web page, encoding to FLV. I don't know what FPS I'm using, I guess the default.

shown on which web page? (anyway my hunch/guess would be that encoding to FLV is cpu expensive, but that's just a hunch)...
