I installed this on windows 10 as part of ShareX package for screen capture. I would like to use this as a microphone in other applications but it does not show up....

It's a directshow "software only" device so...only dshow compatible programs will see it. But with funding maybe we could make it into a kernel level device so it could be viewable :)
