thank you for your contribution. hopefully one of these days I can get my hands on a copy of windows 8 and get this to work well...

Afaik, there's no difference between Windows 7 and 8. What kind of issues are you running into?

I have encountered horror stories of people who start recording, then start and stop some player, and suddenly output from the loopback "stops". It's like the silence generator doesn't work. Like I say I haven't reproduced it myself, not having windows 8, but it feels like there are some bugs in there...
