Determine whether there is a new version of the SIGRID standards #2

Any impact on V2 ontologies?

There is a new version of the SIGRID III specification. The question is does the data actually use it or the previous version or what? In particular, the timeseries of data now encompasses the time range of 3 different versions of the SIGRID III specification. Has the data format changed over that time?

So the data actually isn't in quite the SIGRID III specification as written, rather the Canadian Ice Services (CIS) implementation. No documentation about changes available on web since 2006, though NSIDC metadata records indicate that some changes to the user's guide were made in 2011 at the request of CIS. Asking NSIDC about those changes and whether there were changes in the data files over the time range...

Ann reports that the data set to date is internally consistent (no changes in format over time) and that the changes requested in 2011 were only changes to spellings, names of people, and other non-data related text.
