HUGE list of ideas #53

Which type of feature are you thinking about? (Put an x on all aplicable options)

Describe your idea First of all, since the "old west" doesn't look much like stuff from the period of the American western expansion, there should be some changes:

And some general ideas for not just the old west:

Did you work on this? Not really, but I have a makeshift that includes an "old west":

A long time ago, a huge empire called Rehtenna (Nether spelled backwards, with "na" added to make it sound like a better name for an Empire) was born in the mideastern part of the Minecraftian world. It was originally populated by a race of people called Testificates. Unlike most empires you may have heard of or will ever hear of, this empire was fair and just, and corruption was at a minimum at all times (just clone the old pre-1.14 Villager, but upgrade the textures and jack up the prices). Soon, the extraordinarily diverse people known Players arrived. They were quite few in number, but had indescribable power beyond that of any Villager. The Testificates let them in and accepted them into their society. Some of the Villagers, however, did not think that the Players should be accepted, and should instead be either killed or forced into slave labor. When the Rehtennian emperor refused to enslave innocent people, the group broke away form the Empire and created their own empire called the Ealôjər (in common tongue, Illager) Empire, with its twisted, evil people known as Ealôjərs (Illagers). Their ruthless leader, known in the Illager tongue as the Aarck-Ealôjər (in common tongue as the Arch-Illager), found a rogue human-like creature with more power than any known normal human, known as Hərôbrônn. Hərôbrônn promised the Arch-Illager victory, order, and control of his territory in return for complete compliance. The Arch-Illager agreed to these terms, and soon the mob armies of Hərôbrônn and the Illager armies were fighting together. Rehtenna eventually fell, and the civilians were cast out to live in humble villages. The Testificates were eventually known as Villagers. They preserved the currency of Emeralds, and the traditional clothing. Centuries after the fall of Rehtenna, the Villagers suddenly grew in power and wealth. With this power, they expanded farther into the western part of the world which was rich in Gold Ore (several groups of Villagers already lived in these areas, but they were remote, isolated societies), and advanced their building techniques. This growth, however, did not go unnoticed by the Illagers, however, and the Villages were soon attacked and raided. Strangely, all throughout history, there was one human who came out of a strange yellow and purple structure, and never seemed to age throughout the millennia...

Additional context Whatever you do with this mod, DON'T JUST COPY EARTH'S HISTORY!!! WAY TOO MANY TIME TRAVEL FRANCHISES/MODS/ETC DO THAT, AND IT GETS BORING AFTER A WHILE BECAUSE THESE PEOPLE CAN'T SEEM TO COME UP WITH THEIR OWN HISTORY FOR THEIR IMAGINED UNIVERSES!!! Maybe some eras from Earth but it should have its own history, wars, lore, etc.)

All your ideas sound really good, and I am almost sure some of them will go on the mod. One thing I would change is the name Hərôbrônn as it reminds me to Herobrine and I think that Herobrine is much seen. Regarding the Old West changes, mesa and more frequent gold could go onto the Old West on the next version (1.14.4-0.1.8.0). I'm already working in the Villages, but the work is huge as I don't want all the villages to look the same as if they were pre 1.14. Also I really like the idea of Illager bandits, they could add more action to the Old West, but they will not appear soon as I have to investigate on custom Entities. The cooler thing you suggested is the lore, but suddenly this will take more time than the Illager bandits because I need a good Old West dimension (and maybe others) before implementing the lore (but I will take it into account when thinking about new features) Thank you for all the ideas, they will help me a lot!

Thanks!

About the Herobrine thing: The idea for the similarity was to be a joke reference to the character that players who know the community will get without being just another Herobrine thing. They'll see the name and be like, "oh, Herobrine, haha!", but Hərôbrônn is a completely different character. Because Hərôbrônn is a different character, he can have a different backstory than being Notch's long-dead brother. I could have just respelled it or spelled it backwards to achieve this effect, but it has another effect I wanted too that I think should be preserved if you choose a different name: the accents and phonetic symbols represent that Hərôbrônn's native language is some old language lost to time. That adds a mysterious element to the character that "Herobrine" doesn't really fulfill.

The gold/mesa in the Old West: Thanks! I think this will be good as the dimension is based off of the American western expansion, and the main reason so many people went to expand west is because of the idea that they could find gold and get rich. While not many gold miners made a fortune, it makes sense for there to be gold here. The western villages: Thanks again! If you're looking for ideas making this, I recommend Spruce or Dark Oak for the walls and regular Oak for the floors. The Illager bandits: I am excited for this too, it would be fun to do things like stop robbers from raiding the banks and getting rewards for doing it. Like you said, it would add more action to the Old West. I tried the mod now that it's compatible with Xaero's World Map, and the first thing that happened was I got attacked by a battalion of Husks. Western Villages would be a lot better than a Husk army. A lot.

The lore: I'm glad you like it! I realize it will take some time, maybe you could implement it little by little. Maybe make parts of the lore, but leave parts out to represent knowledge being lost to time.

You're welcome!
