Printing to a Noritsu 32 Pro

Trying to get the SAS to print directly to our 32 pro.

I added a simple Disk Printer, then re-enqueue that to a Noritsu Net Order Agent.

If I don't check "Use 2.0 api" or whatever I can get it to print, but I don't think it is correct - big problem was that it doesn't print an order until it is spooled all the way to the Noritsu. On a large order it just ran out of memory and errored.

With USe 2.0 api on, now I can't print - always get an error (17). Not sure what it means.

at this point the "use 2.0 api" is not working.

without the use 2.0 it works, but it won't begin printing until an order has spooled to the printer completely. Probably only a problem on large printers.

more random notes:

• since images are not going thru darkroom the bleed in DR is not applied, so some images had thin gray borders. Might need to loosen the tolerances.
• turning off "add print sharpening" in DR made color management fail in DR 8.9. In 9.1 it seemed fine. This could be a big problem on non-roes orders.
• need a queue for every paper magazine probably.
• mixed sizes in one order had occasional backprinter issues where you could see the imprint on the front in white a bit. Have seen this before in DR if there is a package with multiple sizes. Kind of think it is a problem with the strike plate but not sure.
• Need to figure out max number of characters to do. What fits on a 3x5?
• real size and registered are the best/only way to go.
• "use cm on printer" should be checked. This may be just my 32 though. There was some sort of bug where if we specify our own profile the noritsu still applies its own over it - at least this was a problem with darkroom.

overall the workflow seems cool but complex. Not sure how to manage all the orders. A large order not printing until it has spooled all the way is a problem.
