Happy New Year from all of us at SoftWorks Systems Inc.! On February 1st, 2016, we will finalize the ROES version 9 rollout to all remaining version 8 launches and sync all ROES labs on the latest v9 release. The latest update will offer a couple of new features:
A new user preference has been added in the Home pane for Windows users to reduce the visible template group tabs:
This preference is selected by default to show the groups as normal. When un-checked, upon relaunch the normally stacked tabs will now look like this:
This will offer a look similar to how Apple systems have always shown the top level template groups. If you have Catalogs with a large amount of top level groups this can make it easier for customers to scroll through and find selectable templates.
The other new feature is in the Designer tools where we have added buttons for Node Alignment:
The bottom 4 buttons are for Align left, Align Right, Align Top and Align Bottom. Once you have a node in a desired location, these buttons can be used after selecting additional nodes to align them with the initial set node.
We have a couple of attributes added in the Template Tool as well:
uppercase - when set to true on a text node will force all CAPS
capitalize - when set to true on a text node will CAP the first letter of each word
Reminder: Version 9 includes modifications to the Login/Logout feature that improves acquisition of customer specific product offerings and prevents users from bypassing the login with the presence of an autosaved order or an order queued for sending. For those labs with launches still on version 8 that have the live login/logout or mock authentication process enabled there are two changes you and your customers need to be aware of in version 9:
The prompt for loading or deleting an autosave will occur after successful login.
The prompt that there is an unsent order(s) in the queue will occur when the ordering pane is accessed.
