[REMOTE] Senior Java Engineer @Ubiminds

We're looking for a Senior Java Engineer with experience in infrastructure as code, cloud services, agile development principles, containerization, monitoring and alerting tools. In this role, you will lead efforts to improve our tools and practices from a technical perspective. You will be a member of the Software Development team and report to the Director of Software Development.

What you’ll do

• Identify areas for improvement within our technical stack and infrastructure and lead efforts to drive improvement
• Lead efforts to create a sustainable suite of Unit, Integration and UI automated tests
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine the product requirements and turn them into actionable engineering tasks
• Build mission-critical systems using Java (JSP/servlets)
• Develop product expertise necessary to support others within the company with clients’ product-related technical needs

You get to work 100% remote in teams mainly based in the United States, from Brazil.

Requisitos

In order to succeed in this position, you will need to

Mandatory:

• Strong Java development skills
• Strong SQL knowledge, Oracle and Postgres preferred
• Ability to share knowledge and mentor other developers
• Experience working in Agile Development Environments
• Knowledge of feature flags to control feature deployments
• Experience working with Docker
• Experience with one or more of the following tools: Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Data Dog, Splunk, Prometheus, Nagios, Kubernetes

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience building APIs
• Understanding of Lean concepts
• Versioning database schema changes
• Spring framework
• Experience working in a regulated environment
• Experience working JavaScript, especially modern tools like React and Webpack Experience working with Node.js
