There is currently not a POS that allows to a given store operator user to register in-store sales making all inventory keep up-to-date.
Most stores needs to manage inventory in real-time and it is currently very difficult to manage two different systems at the same time (one for in-store sales and other for online sales).
With an integrated POS, the store would always have an up-to-date inventory. This would prevent products from going out of stock and the store having to cancel a customer's order and refund their money because one of their products was out of stock. The registration of the sales in the store through a simple POS will improve the shopping experience for the online users and also the store management for the administrator.
