Distance between sites #346

Have you ever considered applying a topology to the relations you've developed in reading amongst sites?

Consider the way you share the pages you view with your followers and the reading community at large, as well as the pages you view alone. It'd be interesting to define "distances" or "coordinates" of sites across the internet (which in this case would be a non-euclidean coordinate system) based on this data.

What're you thinking about as a use case?

notifications. If someone who is 'close' to you adds a comment it would be cool to get a notification that I could click on and go to that page. Not sure I totally understand how this would work though.

@davidbyrd11 the notifications is already being adressed by me.

im just trying to consider interesting ways to sort the content people are reading by how long ago they've read it and how "related" it is to what you're reading.

it's the directory -> map relation I'm curious about. How do you list the sites you've read beyond a directory and onto something else.
