@davidbyrd11 Spam prevention. Twitter gets around this by having a character limit. We don't have any sort of limitation.
That makes sense. Why don't we have a character limit?

I like some of the long form content that appears on Reddit. I saw that comment (I think there's a ticket filed about it) and it's a bug we'll need to fix. We can consider character limits, but I don't know that they're needed aside from preventing spam.
what's the reasoning?
