Is this not part of the service? I thought that was the point of using a managed solution

Ah, I suppose so, but if we have the space and there's no reason not to, why not have an extra backup of what's currently there? Just in case

Guess we could do, if someone wants to set it up.... But that being said the article you point to talks about mirrors not backups which do you mean

Ah, good point, sorry. We should create a backup. It would be nice to have one that could function as a mirror, but I'm guessing that takes effort to convert it from the current format.

Ticket description could do with more context. Some questions that may help:

why is a backup desirable? (what are we trying to protect against?)
what kind of backup is desired (offsite? Offline or online?)
what data should be backed up (probably at least DB, images if stored separately to DB, maybe wiki and/or DB config. Anything else?)
should any data be excluded from backup?
if we need to restore, what kind of time delay is acceptable?
should restoration from backup be tested (I vote yes), if so how often?

I can do the work if I have access to the system(s).
