Needs to be brought into a larger options and settings rework on the main menu and per character.

Persistent preferences have been added. They are per install and currently cover attack display style, visual/narrator/unicode/minimal, and the tutorial. This is a step in the right direction but there is still a ways to go.

Several options have been added with room for more, notably options to switch off most generic flavor text, taunt/boasting, unrelated combat actions, travel text, and personal name display. The baseline has been met, any others will have to be a concentrated improvement rather than the starting set this issue called for.
