@maryepicraces - I've reviewed the punch list and our emails. I've also reviewed the Google doc that contains Pantone colors. I can not find a previous request to change button colors or the color palette of the site. I hesitate to choose any colors on your team's behalf at this late stage in the process. Would you please tell me specifically what items you would like changed so that I don't extend the time required to complete the task?
I believe Eva sent it when she sent the color palette we went through?
Truly, I don't have it. These are the instructions we've been given so far:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Y1FCHGBA_azUvJiunHSnheym-2LZxAypLNPQgFlBPEE/edit https://docs.google.com/document/d/1IXt6C9HrMT52OwJ0rcSKjqXqEDRdc1MvsDrZmJum5mQ/edit https://github.com/realbig/RBM_TH_EPIC/issues?utf8=%E2%9C%93&q=is%3Aissue+is%3Aclosed+color I'm sorry. I don't have further instructions than these and I believe we've closed everything that's been asked so far. I'm really not trying to be difficult. I'm asking for help.
Would you please tell me what colors from the pallete you'd like to have laid onto site elements and where? I'm all for it. Just let me know what / where. We'll take care of it.
Hi Steve,
Aee you able to go over a few things tommorow night or I will be out your way I believe on Monday if you think it might help to meet in person?
Thanks!

Thanks for offering. I can't make that happen though. However, we are excited to implement the changes you need. Could you please collect your thoughts here? We can easily implement the changes or work through any considerations that may need to be addressed in GitHub.
Hi Steve, Although the github is a great way for keeping track of all these items. I just feel like there are a few things that could be worked out faster on the phone or in person. Is Eric available to meet with or chat over the phone?
I'll take care of you. If you can still call tonight, I'm available between now and 8 pm. Or you can call me tomorrow morning, at 7 am or at 4:15 pm. Do any of these times work for you?
Hi Steve,
Let's plan on 4:15 pm tomorrow. Thanks!

I'm sorry to hear that you wanted to hold off on our meeting today @maryepicraces . If you would like to reschedule, feel free to call. I'm free for a few hours now, or Tomorrow any time. We just need to know what colors you want where and we will take care of changing them.
Steve~ In response to your question about the colors, I have been trying to figure out how the fonts and colors on the site have become so random and are lacking any sense of design. I went over the process you had laid out and the first order of business was to assemble style tiles. This never happened.
It seems to me that this process has been so challenging because it is going in reverse order. We are working "ready, fire, aim" as opposed to "ready, aim, "fire".

I feel the same way. We wouldn't have moved into the design without approved colors. That occurred in May over a series of virtual meetings with the team. As I recall, and if our email chains are any indication, working through these items was delayed by Epic Events and team conflicts.
We did end up moving forward with approvals in May. Here is a copy of the Style tiles that were approved. That was prior to the meeting with you and the team in June where we reviewed these together as applied in the design. it's ok to change them. Just let us know what to do and we are on it.
Just for reference, here are the mocks: Desktop - Event: FAQs.pdf Desktop - Event: Race Info.pdf Desktop - Event: Results.pdf Desktop - Event: Schedule.pdf Desktop - Event: Sponsors.pdf Desktop - Event: Venue.pdf Desktop - Home.pdf
We never saw those and certainly never approved them.

Eva, You may never have seen them, but 'we' is a broad statement. I'm sorry that you are coming into his late, Your team has been thoroughly exposed to all of these elements. Why would we have even started without someone on your end saying Go?
Here is the email you sent back to us about these items Real Big Marketing Mail - Re_ Steve Bennett shared “RBM Epic Share” with you.pdf
That's right... "If there are any huge decisions... please bring them to my attention" I would categorize the style tiles as a huge decision.

Regarding colors, my first guess is that the new sites' styling is actually consistent with the style tiles. Because that's what we understood to be what you approved, it is what we programmed it to be. So, what would be causing the disparity? I'd guess it is the old events being displayed in their old style. If you recall, we were asked to program the new site so that old-style events would display without issue. We were asked to make sure that events didn't disappear. So, there is definitely a color shift between old events and new ones. That's a big difference. We can style them to match or they will change when they are made new. When our teams talked about this in the past, we did not make a decision to style anything because the events would be repurposed in relatively short order,
styling these colors is not a big deal. Again. just give us a list of what you want to be changed and we can make it happen.
Eva, again, it really upsets me that you feel like you were not included in this process. There is a long clear trail of documentation that shows otherwise. If you would like to continue the conversation about that topic I'd be happy to speak with you offline. We will continue to provide quality service and respect to you and your team, and we expect the same from you and your team.
I believe this is the last fully "Open" issue. There are a few other ones that need approval or Q&A, but this item requires the team's input. @evasolo, can we come together on this item, either here or in a meeting?
I should have included you in my last request @maryepicraces, I realize Eva is preoccupied and because you initiated this issue, you may actually be holding the reigns. I welcome input from either of you.
@marieepicraces, @maryepicraces & @evasolo, Good morning Epic Races team. I hope that you've had a chance to look over this issue a little more. Was my assumption correct above? Are the various colors a result of bringing events created by the team prior to launch into the new environment, and because the styling of those older events is different than what exists in the new theme, it's obviously different? I could be off base and look forward to your input and to addressing the issue if my assumption is wrong. How can we get together on this or could you give us an update on how this is being handled on your end?
From email: The blue color used on the register buttons and other places on the websites still needs to change to the color palatte Eva and I sent.
