Ugh. This is especially important because, as a customer just pointed out to me, our Purchase History page doesn't even have a login form or anything. We made fun of this customer when they said they couldn't find their license keys but honestly it's our fault because there's no way for them to find them on our site.
I don't know why it wasn't showing (as I could have sworn it was before), but the login form from #53 is now back on the site.
Once you login there it redirects you to the Purchase History page, where they can then find their License Keys.
It isn't nearly as pretty as what you have above, but it works.
Thanks for doing that. Let's still move forward with this issue when we can.
What about the giant "My Account"/"Login" button in the top menu? I guess we can make it look nicer, but everything is there. I guess I don't fully understand the disconnect?
To me this seems like all the information needed:
Are you simply hoping to have it laid out more... clearly? Obviously? Thoroughly?
I suppose I did just notice that it shows "ID" instead of "name". Nobody cares about "ID".
Okay you know what, I'm eating my own words here and thinking out loud... I just realized those top table rows are purchases not actual Plugins. So yeah, that's a problem.
I explored adding Plugin Name to it in #48, but like you said, since they are Purchases it wouldn't work that well. We'd need to make something ourselves so it outputs per Download rather than only by per Purchase.
Grouping by Purchase isn't bad, but it needs more detail.
Well the reason I raised the issue was because when I was on the site this morning, the My Account link was not there in the menu and the page also did not have any login form, it just displayed the headings and nothing else. Also, as you can see on the screenshots of some of the other account pages, especially EDD, there's a much nicer layout and much more information. I want a very informative Account page that is easy to find.
I've had multiple customers say they can't find their license keys. Generally I think it is pretty hard to find where to login and to locate one's information on our site. All we have is a Purchase History link in the footer.
What we need is an Account page which has everything. Either links to sub pages or a tabbed interface. But it needs to have:
Later on we may add more stuff like special offers, open support tickets, notices, upgrades, billing, etc. so the format needs to be flexible.
I'd like for us to design something nice. Here are some starting point ideas:
