how to insert the excel sheet into database and retrieve some of data from it using asp.net? #156

hi,i want to insert the excel sheet into database and want to retrieve some of 
the data from that excel sheet?i tried with...
1)creating table with same columns which excel sheet have
2)select the table and copy the excel sheet data into it
3)saved that excel sheet into project folder
4)retrieved the data from it
but i don't want like this,when i insert the excel sheet into db the old one 
need to be deleted and new excel sheet should be inert into table with new 
columns,how it is possible with c#.net?

--->replace the existing excel sheet  with new one

-->vs2010,sqlserver 2008,windows 7 32-bit os
