I'm continuously impressed by the reana infrastructure and web interface. Really cool stuff.
But as I've been using the web interface quite a lot lately, I wanted to put forward a suggestion about viewing the logs. Here's the scenario:
My workflow is running
I want to examine the log from step A, which is already done, while step B is still running
While looking at the log for step A, the UI automatically jumps to the (non-existent) log for the ongoing step B after a few seconds.
I often find it useful to examine logs of finished steps in detail while other steps are still running, and this feature makes it pretty difficult.
Is there a hidden reason for the current behavior? At least from my experience, it would be nice if the log you wanted to inspect didn't disappear until you explicitly select a different workflow step.
