Marker List: Save "Seek play" and "Scroll view" states with project #140

Note: This is very minor!:)

If I open REAPER without a template those options are unchecked. If I then open an existing project which was saved with those checked, they're unchecked again.

Expected behavior is that the states would be saved with the project.

I made the settings global (like Reaper prefs, not like proj settings), thinking that people would just have a preference and leave it that way. Do you have a use for different markerlist settings for different projects?

No, I'll always want those on, but they're off on a new empty project. Dumb question: How do I set them on by default without using a project template?

I tried setting MarkerlistOptions in REAPER.INI to 1 1, but I guess that's not it!;)

Sounds like a bug to me, I'll have a look. :)

I think I've got it licked in 1.7.2 #7. ( r143 )

I'm getting mixed results.:) I checked both and saved the project. When I opened it again "Seek play" was unchecked. Checked both and saved again, then when I opened it again "Scroll view" was unchecked. Third time they were both checked when I reopened it.

I closed REAPER, and when I opened the same project "Seek play" was unchecked again.

Are you seeing anything similar? Do you use a default project template (I don't)?

Thanks-

-Susan

:( Ok, I'll keep trying to reproduce/fix here.

It's such a minor thing -- please don't worry about it on my account! Has anybody else mentioned it? I'm sure it's a pain even to try to reproduce, and I feel bad taking up any more of your time with it. I won't ask for my money back if you just leave it as is, I promise!:)

"fix coming soon" ;-)

Thanks Jeff. I just reported this in the SWS sticky thread forum on Cockos, not realizing it was an older bug.

So there's really two issues, the fact that the two checkboxes are not always clear on run, but also the request that they be sticky from run to run. Is the latter even possible on this type of plug-in, or do we resign ourselves to at least coming up in a known state each time?

Yes, I saw that post, hence the fix: my (very few ;-) donnaters deserve some "priority" on bug fixes, ha ha! BTW, I never replied but thanks, bblue! I also reported your remarks where it does.. Also, yes, the latter, that's what Tim did (but there was just a little bug in there).

I forgot the fix is in r155

Thanks Jeff.

Are there any interim binaries/betas available for download without having to set up and compile locally? Or asked another way, when would we see the results from r155 and up?

Hey Bill,

Normally I build/post checked in code within a day (usually hours) but since this change requires a yet-unreleased version I'm stalling on posting the new build.

Low on my list of things to do is to make some sort of beta program where you can get things a little earlier. If you're chomping at the bit let me know and I can post something for you.

Thanks Tim! By the time I got back here, you had already released the new stuff, so all is well. I appreciate the offer and the great work!
