Actions to accomplish this are included in the latest pre: +SWS/BR: Move edit cursor to next/previous envelope point and select it

Coming in the next build. But make sure you carefully read the log because these actions:
+SWS/BR: Move edit cursor to next/previous envelope point and add to selection
can screw your envelope - it's a bug in reaper and nothing I can do about it as far as I know. Bug report is here: http://forum.cockos.com/project.php?issueid=4416 Marking the issue as done.

Nope!
And just selecting the next point (without adding it to selection, in that case selection is cleared) also won't screw your envelope - there is a workaround for that one :)

Title says it all! :)
It would be really great if when an envelope was selected, the left/right mouse buttons moved prev/next automation points, but when no envelope was selected, they would resort to their standard task (select next/prev media item)
