Suggestion Regarding Schematic Size #109

Open underscoreYTREWQ opened 4 years ago

I recently discovered this tool, and it has been so useful. My only request so far is that the total height of the build is listed. I tried using this tool to make a huge schematic that ended up too tall for the world. I wish that I could have known this before I put it into my world.

If you are creating a big mapart, you should split it into 1x1 chunks instead of building it whole. However, this suggestion is still something I'll consider adding.

Thanks for the response. When I split it into 1x1 chunks, because of the staircasing, there were unwanted shadows in the map.

rebane2001 commented 4 years ago

You will not have unwanted shadows if you split them and then build them side-by-side horizontally

underscoreYTREWQ commented 4 years ago

Really? There was a continuous white staircased border, and the tool split it so each new chunk, the white border starts at the bottom again. When I put 6 parts (3x2) together, I had a shadow.

Another feature that I would like to see added is the ability to change the rotation of the picture in the tool.

rebane2001 commented 4 years ago

You mean the one that has a rotate button?

underscoreYTREWQ commented 4 years ago

Yes, rotate button

rebane2001 commented 4 years ago

Okay so it already has the button you need

underscoreYTREWQ commented 4 years ago

Where? I don’t see it.

rebane2001 commented 4 years ago

Top left

underscoreYTREWQ commented 4 years ago

Can you send a screenshot? I still can’t find it.

rebane2001 commented 4 years ago

No, this is off-topic

Schematic size can be seen in View Online. Rotation has not been reimplemented for 2d yet. Leaving this issue open?
