Are you sure that works? The last I checked the void would just end up the stone color, but maybe something in a newer version of the game was changed. Screenshots of this in action would be apprechiated.
"Its achieved by placing glass blocks above the void." - The plain void is just a stone color yeah. But if you have glass its not. I'm sure you prob just miss read so it's fine. And ill add some screenshots here:
Interesting, thanks.
Sorry to bring this up again, but can we expect this to become implemented into the generator?
Transparent map art seems to have been a thing for at least a year according this reddit thread , so it's not unique to this version.
I don't know how the current maps are generated, but if they're over a void already, we could use "Add blocks under: all blocks" and "block to add: glass". The main problem is that the generator overwrites the transparent to black, or whatever the background color is. Also, perhaps generating maps in the end dimension would help?
I'm really hopeful that this becomes implemented.
I don't know if it got implemented and i cant find it or not, but i just replace the "to be removed Background" in photoshop with a wierd color. Generate the mapart, replace the blocks of that color with worldedit and make a new Schematic of that Outcome, which then is transparent. Hope that helps.
And if its implemented, please tell me where to find. Because i do this nearly daily
@rebane2001 what about this feature?
Oh since it is already here, I was just wondering is this still WIP or not gonna be a feature? Amma not start a new thread
Implemented in this fork, per commits - https://github.com/doodadlabs/mapartcraft
Since in vanilla there is a way to get "transparent" non existing pixels on a map. Its achieved by placing glass blocks above the void. Could this be implemented it to this tool? make a lot of map art and modify all of them maps in game makes it a bit of a hassle, also to add more to that if i the image that i want used black on its border i need to change the background and that causes colors to bleed on the image it self. which then i need to modify more later. Could this feature be added ? I would just code it my self but I'm way to busy rn.
