SRE UI for SageClients Plugin Fails to Install on a SageTV Client #286

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
When I try to install the "SRE UI for SageClients" and click on the "Install
Client Plugin" option, it gives me an error of "Done - Failed - Dependency:
ServerOnly". However, I was able to install the regular "SRE UI" on an extender
with no problems.

Server: SageTV Media Center 7.0.23, Windows XP Pro (SP3), SRE v3.0.0.1186
Client: SageTVClient 7.0.23, Windows 7 x64, Acer AspireRevo r3610

I believe the problem is with sre-common. When I try to install sre-common
(directly) on a SageClient it fails with the "server only" error. When I
remove the sre-common dependency from the SRE UI Mod it installs.

Reassigning back to Derek.

Tom: You should increase the min sre-common version of the UI plugins to
3.0.0.1361

In the meantime, to get the UI to install on a client, simply manually upgrade
the sre-common plugin on your SageClient to the latest version (the plugin is
under the Libraries section). Once you upgrade sre-common then the Client UI
plugin should be able to install successfully.
