Text editing is buggy (IE9) #782

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create some text
2. Go into text-edit mode
3. Select some text

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The selection area and blinking line thingy are significantly offset rather 
than appearing in the correct position

Started in r1996, now seems to work well on default zoom, but not others.
