No feedback on error #4

Describe the bug The page gives no feedback to the user if a problem has occured. This can be problematic for logging in or creating a user, but also other places where errors can occur

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to the registration page
  2. Create an account with a username that already exists

Expected behavior The web page will tell the user that something went wrong, and how to fix it.
