This may very well fall into the nice-to-have / stretch-goal category.

Status update: so far we've been working with a Calendar application in parts (not as a cohesive whole).

The problem is that many of the recipes play nicely together, so if we had a sample app that we referenced in the book we could not present the patterns in isolation.

Perhaps this could be an appendix chapter, or a git repository that the community could continuously improve as a "living best practice" application more complicated than a todo list.

All that said, this will not make it into the 1.0 release.
