"- p 18: If calculating an MD5 is inefficient, why even show a code example? Or if so, put a comment in the code such as "# WRONG WAY...INEFFICIENT! DON'T EVER DO THIS UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING!""

While inefficient, md5 still has merit because it avoids a repaint, which is stated clearly in the sentence following the one referenced in this issue.
