Subtitle feature UI isn't fully supported on TV (Firestick) #168

Open j0j00 opened 1 year ago

j0j00 commented 1 year ago

Steps to reproduce

The UI to add Opensubtitles accounts doesn't really work on TV devices. The on focus behaviour doesn't really work well for inputting details and submitting without making use of a mouse and some hacky workarounds to lose focus (like pressing the voice control).

Even the switch account/logout behaviour popup isn't very accessible at the moment.

Upon putting in valid credentials, trying to load subtitles from the internet doesn't work because there's no way to submit the inputted text.

Expected behavior

Most of the UI would be navigable by keyboard/remote.

Actual behavior

The UI isn't accessible for TV/remote users.

With a firestick (fireos and lineageos) I can navigate to the search box with remote but clicking ok does not bring up on-screen keyboard. If I use a mouse and click in the search box, the keyboard appears. If I use an emulator with keyboard and use cursor/enter, I can navigate to the search box and press enter but cannot enter text. Always need to click search box with mouse! Using 4.0.1 and tried latest beta as well. Workaround: If I press home button and go to launcher and then enter app again I get the keyboard up. I don't have any issues when entering extension info.
