Implemented ValidationSplitter and improvements for utility classes #121

The present pull-request aim is to solve the following issues: #119, #120 and #118.

In the same pull-request has been included some changes in JavaDoc strings which references methods with a parameter instance of DataModelIF class and not DataModel.
