Redgate Sql Search Error in Azure Data Studio

ERROR: Exception while indexing XXXX on xxxxxx.database.windows.net:

When I try and Search or reindex using Regate Sql search in Azure Data Studio - the error I receive complains about , Login failed for user ''.

I'm not sure why the credentials aren't been passed?

Does anyone have clues?

It's nice to know I'm not the only one... I've tried to use SQL Search on different Servers/DB's and still no luck. I've had this problem for a few months now and haven't been able to find a resolution.

Same issue here. I suspect it has something to do with Redgate SQL Search using System.Data.SqlClient instead of Microsoft.Data.SqlClient. See this feature matrix of the two client libraries: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/connect/driver-feature-matrix?view=azuresqldb-current

I have exact same error. Anyone have a solution? I'm connected through a remote access VPN so I thought that could be the problem?

Hi,

Since my original post I have tried running SQL without a VPN and I was able to get it to run.
