converted the readme to md and updated #92

The first part is the conversion to markdown. The other changes are just clarifications, typo fixes, and a few enhancements to the readme file. I also broke out the license info into its own file.

@jcredding - can you read over this updated readme and call out any typos or things that don't make sense or read well? thanks man.

@kellyredding - didn't see anything else wrong. Makes sense and looks good. Nice info in there about using the rake commands (runner_seed and show_loaded_files).
