This was an issue before, but in recent versions before the tesseract move it applied only to ladder material. In the past, it has caused issues such as #152. Probably the move to tesseract removed the checks that prevented it.

A mine traveling at high speeds can also clip into geometry, sometimes un-noticeably so.
this appears to be caused by the player moving quickly, transferring momentum.
