Thanks. I have merged your code with a bit change: IRC channel is removed. This article's purpose is to help people "master" emacs,as its title claims. It's actually not for beginners.

Key points of my article, 1, don't build your own .emacs.d from the scratch, use expert's distribution 2, don't study Lisp at the beginning. You will naturally learn LIsp by using Emacs 3, The minimum resources to master Emacs

Many people ignored point 1 and 2 and thought my article is just collection of resource links.

Actually, the first version of article only mentioned Google+ Emacs as the Emacs community worth to visit.

I'm so sad that such beautiful tech community is gone forever. It's small and friendly community . Many Emacs experts (Steve Purcell, Sylvain Benner, ...) were its active members. It went downhill when Snowden exposed that Google help NSA in PRISM program. Some prestigious community members quit the community publicly to protest Google.
