update template to use encrypted strings instead of vault file

joeashcraft commented 4 months ago

is there much to do here? Today, this template doesn't include instructions on how to encrypted the files in vaults/.

This issue might be resolved with some instructions on how and why to encrypted values and not whole files.

Good practices goes into more details and some issues that vaulted files can cause
